Faith: Think About It

I have to admit that since Alter Ego started I’ve been both dreading and looking forward to this week.

Faith is something that we don’t talk about often around here. Like Angie said yesterday, it’s not because we’re anti-faith. Faith just feels like something so intensely personal that it was difficult for me to bring it up in such a public forum.

I thought and thought and consulted faithful friends and talked to Brad in my attempt to write the perfect faith questionnaire—something that was fun, reflective, and respectful all rolled into one.

That’s where these questions came from—fun, reflection, and respect. Please take them as that and nothing more.

What is faith?

Who or what has most inspired your faith?

Which celebrity faith craze most intrigues you?

What do you do to maintain and/or grow in your faith?

Who do you have faith in?

Do you pray? What do you pray about?

How do you share your faith with others?

What (or who) prevents you from being faithful?

Do you have a faith-related pet peeve? What is it?

I’m all about options; here are the ways you can earn entries today:

  1. Post a comment (1 entry)
  2. Post a comment with a faith-related question(s) to get others thinking (2 entries)
  3. Post a comment or blog entry with your answers (3 entries)

I don't know if you are still giving points away for sending me here, but I'm posting at Liz's request.

(truth be told - I'm not even sure what the points matter for. Are we playing for something?)

Is that any think like that lip balm stuff girls wear so that when you kiss them you taste Vasoline and you never want to kiss them again?
