Time to look around you.

The changing weather has put a change in my attitude. I feel sleepier earlier. I am hungry. I feel more serious. Time to take a good look around. Notice the little things that are making my life brighter:

Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential and fight for your dreams. -- Ashley Smith.

In many ways, this quote seems like a challenge to me. I want to live my life to the fullest potential. But I feel things dragging me down - how do I fight them off? How do I take that next step? I hope noticing the little things will help. When I got to work this morning, one of my coworkers had drawn his name in the frost outside our office. How cool, even if temporary.

What are you noticing?

For some reason I have taken to watching the leaves fall off the trees! I sit in my window and just watch as the leaves slowly fall and watch the beautiful dancing patterns that they make as they fall.
I don't know why but it just captivates me!

I am noticing the fall color and it is making me smile

I'm also noticing people driving a little more crazy, but i'm focusing more on the fall color

Due to the latitude of Washington state, it gets dark here rather early, especially factoring in the time change. When I go home after work, between 4:30 and 5, it's dark. But, the tradeoff is that I now see sunrise when I drive to work. I get to see the snow level creep lower on the mountains and the morning fog drift out of the river valleys, all highlighted by the sun. Pretty awesome.
