The Beach Boys are, in my opinion, the creators of the ultimate summer music. There is just something about their songs that absolutely scream summer to me!
And, why "Barbara Ann"? My dad's friend Timmy, who is, as we speak, hiking the Appalachian Trail in its entirety, used to sing this song to me when I was a kid. He thought my full name was Barbara Ann. He danced with me (like a crazy man) to this song at my wedding.
And, one more Beach Boys confession? The entire week before my wedding I listened to nothing but the Beach Boys on my morning commute. It completely wiped out the stress.
