“Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same.”
-----Francesca Reigler
I am in a bad mood today. I do not--I repeat, do not--want to do to work today. My hair looks horrible. I could not find anything cute to wear. (Good hair and a cute outfit are usually the way I ward off a bad attitude about work.) There are tons of things I really want to do at my house that are calling my name (like scrapbooking and paying the bills and laying on the couch and sending out some long over-due Alter Ego prizes).
How do you handle days like these? (Do you have days like these?)
Sometimes I just go with it. I figure life can't be all sunshine and roses. Plus the bad days make the good ones that much more wonderful
ReplyDeleteUmmm, let's see do I have days where I would rather sit on the couch then work. Let's ask if I there are days where I would rather work then sit on the couch.
ReplyDeleteyeah and today is one of them...
ReplyDeleteIt depends...
ReplyDeleteIf it is a really horrible day and I have nothing pressing on my calander, I will not go to work, I'll just roll over in the bed and pray for an attitude adjustment, go back to sleep and try it again when I wake up.
But if it's a day when I have really got to be at work, I put in a favorite song (on repeat)turn it up (loud) and keep it moving. usually by the time I get out the shower, am all pumped up from the song which has repeated about 20 times, I go pray read my daily scripture, then I am ready to take on the day!
Yeppers!!! I sure do... Especially if the weather is calling my name to just sit and relax!!!
ReplyDeleteI just growl at people that annoy me that day! he he, just kidding! sorta. ;-) I just look at pictures of my son.
