Toddler Wisdom

I was on the phone with my friend, Nicky, last night and could hear hear two-year-old daughter, Natalie, in the background. I haven't seen Natie in a few days and asked Nicky if Natalie wanted to talk to me on the phone.

Natalie's response?

She threw up her hands and declared,

"No. I too busy."
-----Natalie, age 2

We had a good laugh and still have no idea who taught her that phrase. I hope it wasn't me that told the toddler I was too busy. And, I do have to admit that it scares me just a little that someone as old as two can already say she's too busy.

Today, I challenge myself to make time for something I really want to do--even if it's something small. I will stop being too busy even if it's only for a minute or two.
