Hey, Mr. Demille!

I have often thought that if photography were difficult in the true sense of the term -- meaning that the creation of a simple photograph would entail as much time and effort as the production of a good watercolor or etching -- there would be a vast improvement in total output. The sheer ease with which we can produce a superficial image often leads to creative disaster.

Ansel Adams (1902 - 1984)
Today we went to the Atlanta Zoo and the animals were not cooperative. Every animal hid, napped, or showed us a not so pretty side of their body. A ton of them scratched themselves almost constantly, making us wonder if the zoo didn't have cooties.

The only animals that posed for the camera were the Great Tortoises. But, when you travel at 1 cm per minute, you really don't have a choice.

It just goes to show you that animals are just like people when it comes to having your picture taken.

Hilarious!
Although, it sounds like all those "creative disasters" at the zoo might have been quite hilarious as a photo collection.
