Creativity Rules

Creativity can solve almost any problem. The creative act, the defeat of habit by originality, overcomes everything.

I've always looked at scrapbooking as a problem solver. Stressed...get lost in a page or a mini-album. Bored...make something. Don't like an endless stream of sporting events from your baseball loving, soccer watching, Nascar fan of a husband...do your own thing.

Lately, I haven't had a desire to scrap at all. I've been in a rut. Then came the Scrapbook Expo.

Today, I went with some friends and took two classes. I've spent all week in and out of scrapbook stores in between site-seeing venues. I have tons of new supplies, and finally the act of creating something at the Expo has made me actually want to create something.

I think the rut may be gone.

What do you do to get out of a rut?
