I am also reading Defending Hillsborough by Clarissa Thomasson. It's historical fiction about a little town near where I live. I have to read every night before I go to bed or I can't sleep. Love books, love going to the library!Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12860911206524018039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8577185708863236566.post-90796679223032625412007-02-27T17:50:00.000-06:002007-02-27T17:50:00.000-06:00Great post! My favorite subject! I like to call mysel...Books! My favorite subject! I like to call myself a library rat... I'd be a book store rat if I had more money. But it's probably good that I don't have $ because at any given time I have all 4 of our family's library cards maxed out... That's 50 books each plus electronic media. They know me well at my library and laugh when I bring in my big granny style grocery cart to carry books home. I activly read between 3 and 12 books at a time, not including craft, cooking &decorating books. Right now I'm reading John Berendt's book The City of Falling Angels, Edward Dolnick's The Rescue Artist, My Antonia, Windflower by Nick Bantock, Intuition by Allegra Goodman, The Body Artist by Don Delillo, And Gracious Living in a New World by Alexandra Stoddard. Best and Worst books are impossible for me... If I hate a book I don't finish it and get it out of my house... There was a book a while back set in Venice that had a cool cover but turned out to be so dark and raunchy I was repulsed... The title isn't even in my brain... I usually really love the book I just finished, in this case The Friday NIght Knitting Club. It was WAY better than I thought it would be and I'm grieving a bit that I no longer have it to read... It's the author's first book and I am hoping she tells us in the future about Georgia's successful baking business. I tend to just devour books, chew right through them once I'm hooked. Though I've been nibbling at Barbara Kingsolver's The Poisonwood Bible for years... Recent favorite books: Good Grief by Lolly something and The Red Tent, especailly The Red Tent... If I had to be stranded on an island with only one book it'd be the biggest blank book I could find to record my own story. ~SharnaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04458988506210791561noreply@blogger.com
